Meditation with Simone

Another great sound meditation from Simone!

Hello from Simone,

I hope you are doing fine.

Believe it or not, but this is the 20th sound meditation I recorded for you!
I hope you were able to listen to some of my sound meditations and they were helpful for you on many levels.

Please listen with headphones if you can.
This meditation is called "The mountain". Some of you already have been practising this meditation with me in Gateway.

This meditation is able to bring stable and grounding qualities of a mountain to your meditation practice. This can be an effective way for releasing built up stress and tension.

You can have an image in your mind of a mountain you know, one you saw on a picture or one you just imagine. See which mountain is coming to your mind.
Enjoy the practise.

Practical tip:
Might visit a mountain or see it from the distance or have a photo/picture of a mountain around you that reminds you of that grounding meditation practise.

Meditation with Simone

This week's Meditation with Simone!

Hello from Simone,

I hope you are doing fine.

The theme of today's meditation is mindful eating. It is a visualisation practice, but can be practice in real life too.
Please listen with headphones if you can.

It's a great way of getting to understand how mindful eating could be done. I hope you enjoy the this meditation / visualisation practice.

4 Practical tips for mindful eating:

1. slowing down when eating and stopping when your body says its full

2. Are you responding to an emotional want or respond to your body’s needs?
Know your body’s personal hunger signals  (ie. stomach growling, energy low,..)

3. Understand your motivations
Eating foods that are emotionally comforting vs. eating foods that are nutritionally healthy.

4. Attend to your plate
When eating, just eating, don't distract yourself with your phone, TV,.. and sit down when eating.

Enjoy!
