Early Intervention in Psychosis YouTube Animation created by Niamh Gibney (Senior Occupational Therapist) & Seamus Scott (Advanced
Nurse Practitioner). The
Longford/Westmeath mental health services have an Early Intervention in Psychosis
Group (EIP) that is comprised of members of the MDT (Psychiatrist, Advanced
Nurse Practitioner, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist), service users and
family/carers. They meet monthly to work on service development and new
initiatives in line with the HSE Early Intervention in Psychosis Model of Care
(2019). A subgroup was identified comprising of an Advanced Nurse Practitioner,
NCHD in CAMHS, Occupational Therapist and a service user to work on production
of a short animation video on psychosis.
