Some good news from Mental Health Reform!

Yesterday was World Mental Health Day, fittingly under the theme: Invest in Mental Health. Our politicians are beginning to take note of the thousands of emails, calls and visits they have been receiving as part of this campaign. The Oireachtas Cross Party Group on Mental Health today launched the first ever cross party budget submission in the history of the state to call for the mental health spend to be protected in Budget 2012. A big thank you to all our supporters for the effort and energy you have invested over the past few weeks.

Mental health is under threat in the upcoming budget. Make your voice heard and Join the Fight by signing the petition to preserve mental health staff at the levels that were in place at the start of 2011. Mental health has already suffered more than its fair share.
