Led by Aware Clinical Director, Dr Claire Hayes, the panel will provide personal perspectives on men’s mental health to coincide with the upcoming International Men’s Health Week (14-20 June).

You do not need to have a Zoom account to attend.

 

 

Keith Walsh, presenter, broadcaster, MC, podcaster and mental health advocate. Keith has been open about his own mental health journey to date and he has turned his love of drawing cards into an exercise to encourage reflection and mindfulness with adults and kids alike. He also has a weekly podcasts where he has open conversations with his guests about their life.

 

Simon Harris, Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science. He previously served as Minister for Health from May 2016 to June 2020. Simon’s involvement in politics began after he established an Autism support and lobby group in Wicklow to seek to give a voice to people living with Autism and their families.

 

Joey Carbery, Munster and Irish rugby player. Born in New Zealand, Joey moved to Ireland when he was 11. He made his senior competitive debut for Leinster in 2016, subsequently joining the Munster squad in 2018. Joey will discuss the importance of resilience in sport, after his recent personal experience with an injury that kept him out of the game for over a year.
