Art Class with Niamh

Hello everyone!

Here is our art class for the week from our brilliant tutor Niamh.  This week's class has several projects to get stuck into.  We hope you enjoy and would love to hear how people are getting on with their art from home.  Send us an email or a text if you can!  If anyone has videos or photos of the results of these projects, we'd love to see and share them online too.
Wishing everyone well,

Meditation with Simone

Hello from Simone,
I hope you are doing fine and enjoy the sunshine we get these days.
I recorded another guided meditation accompanied with relaxing sounds of tuning pipes for you.
I am really enjoying recording these meditations. It's a great rehearsal for my sound meditation CD.
This meditation focuses mainly on visualising colours which help you to let go of tension in your body or anything that you hold in mind that doesn't serve you anymore. It also intends to energizes you.
If you find it difficult to visualise don't give yourself a hard time. Be gentle and kind and hold in mind that you might be able to visualise another time which might be already tomorrow.

Meditation with Simone

Hello all,

I hope you are enjoying my sound meditations so far. I really enjoy recording them.
I am surprised how many different kind of meditations or themes I am aware of and able to weave them creatively into my sound meditation recordings.

In today's meditation I will guide you through a gentle mindful movement meditation.

All you need is a chair while you listen to the guided meditation (see link below).

Through slow gentle movement of individual body parts you will become more aware of various feelings and sensations throughout the body.

Moving slowly allows us to calm our mind and feel more relaxed. You might also experience a feeling of lightness, effortlessness and softness.

I hope you enjoy this kind of meditation:

I wish you a nice day,
Simone

Loneliness
By Barry Smith
May 2020

Lonely feelings fill me up inside.
Being so disconnected from Friends and Family make my world feel so empty inside.
Being stuck day in day out, I turn to my creative side to make my days feel alive.
Gratitude and hope are pulling me from the darkness and into the light.
For one day in the future, I know in my Heart things will be okay again.
The lonely feelings that once filled me up inside, will be replaced by joy and happiness as I will have my Friends and Family at my side.

Meditation with Simone

Hello from Simone,

In today's meditation we will focus on observing sounds.

We will explore different qualities of sounds around you as well as how these sounds make you feel.

You may hear sounds you were aware of before or you may never heard before. In any case you will be invited to be the silent witness of these sounds and just being unaffected by that sound.

As you might know or noticed when the body is relaxing the mind and your breath are relaxing too. So they are connected. If you can relax one of them they will have a positive impact on the others.

For this meditation find a comfortable place where you sit on a chair.

You can also do your own sound meditation outdoors. When you go for a walk listen to the sounds around you, further away and close to you. Pay also attention of the sounds of you walking on the path and different surfaces you are walking on.

Enjoy this meditation:

Stay well and relaxed

Meditation with Simone

Hello all,

I hope you are enjoying my sound meditations so far.

In today's meditation we will focus on body relaxation.

As you might know or noticed when the body is relaxing the mind and your breath are relaxing too. So they are connected. If you can relax one of them they will have a positive impact on the others.

For this meditation find a comfortable place where you can lie down and cover yourself with a blanket.
If you fall alseep that's fine, but try to stay awake and listening to the sounds and guided meditation. You might also want to bring your attention on how your body/ body parts is/are feeling during the meditation in order to cultivate a mindful awareness of your body.

This meditation is a special one as I sing this guided body relaxation for you. I hope you are open to a new way to receive a sound meditation.

Enjoy this meditation:

I wish you a nice day,
Simone
